Alpwind is an (EFVL) French Free Flying School affiliated to the French Federation of Free Flight (FFVL) Fédération Française de Vol Libre (FFVL).
The initiation course is aimed at beginners who are new to flight but also to the paraglider wishing to discover these single surface wings and their piloting. A discovery of free flight, without necessarily going via a tandem flight.
The uniqueness of this single skin paragliding course lies in the spirit for which it was created. With the light and low volume of material in these wings, weight is no longer a problem and enables pilots to hike to reach high altitude sites. It will therefore be necessary to accept to walk a little and be in good shape.
There is no maximum age and teenagers are accepted from 16 years old. You will need a medical certificate stating "no contraindications to the practice of paragliding" which will be essential for the paragliding licence subscription.
You will need to hike to access wild take-offs and if the weather permits, the level of participants allows and if you feel like it, maybe you will be able to fly above 3500m in the majestic setting of the Mont-Blanc massif and benefit from the supervision of a high mountain guide for this mountaineering section.
